January

House of Sky and Breath by Sarah J Mass

I loved House of Sky and Breath for its intricate world building, heart pounding twists, and the way it deepened the characters’ relationships. This urban fantasy is an amazing sequel to the House of Earth and Blood.

February

A Fate Inked in Blood by Danielle L. Jensen

Time and time again, Danielle L. Jensen delivers amazing fantasy romances that take your breath away. A Fate Inked in Blood is no different. Even at 10%, I knew this was going to be good.

She has an amazing way of driving a plot throughout the story that gets you at the edge of the seat. Official auto-buy author for me now.

I love the Viking aspect of this story. The author captures their life, their beliefs, and even the combat scenes. It felt realistic and I wanted to dive more into the life of a Viking.

The characters are amazing and yet frustrating at the same time? Shows that they are flawed and I am hoping to see some character development in the next book.

March

Dark Shores by Danielle L. Jensen

Out of all the books that Danielle Jensen has written. Dark Shores is my favorite.
This was soooo amazing that I wanted to scream to the rooftops about how much I love this.

With this being pirates 🏴‍☠️ I was so ready to read something else other than fae. This delivers just that. This is also giving a Roman Empire vibe.

This world is set in such a unique way that I can’t help but get swept away by it all. I cannot wait to continue this series.

April

Spark of the Everflame by Penn Cole

Spark of the Everflame reminded me of my first love, Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. So if you like that series, you will certainly love the vibes of this one.

Spark of the Everflame is a spellbinding journey into a world where ancient secrets and powerful destinies collide. From the moment I delved into the pages of this captivating fantasy romance, I was enraptured by its intricate plot, rich world-building, and compelling characters.

Warning: this has very SLOW BURN romance.

When the Moon Hatched by Sarah A Parker

When the Moon Hatched is a fantasy romance book that can come close to scratching the itch after reading Fourth Wing and Iron Flame.

I absolutely adore the magic system in this book. It is sorely an elemental magic system but with a twist. Where each element is represented as a god that a person can sing to. You can identify each person’s element but the colored bead in their ear. You were considered pretty powerful if you had more than one element you can sing to.

This my friendly readers, this is a gritty story. This is not sugar coated and can get dark at times. There is torture, fighting and things that will rip your heart out. But it was done well in my opinion. But a bit of a warning if you are going into this with this being a romantasy.

June

Gild by Raven Kennedy

I loved Gild by Raven Kennedy for its captivating world building and unique take on the fantasy genre. The complex characters, especially the strong willed protagonist, made the story both gripping and emotional. This is darker of the fantasy reads I would recommend and certainly one of those books you check Trigger Warnings on. But well worth it if you can read it.

July

The Crimson Moth by Kristen Ciccarelli

This is also know as Heartless Hunter

A witch falls in love with the witch hunter? Yes, please.

I needed something like this in my life. Ugh so refreshing.

This is giving me some Batman vigilante vibes. 🦇

If you want a TRUE, enemies to lover story, The Crimson Moth is it. So angsty and high stakes that you can’t put this story down.

I love all the characters in this book because each of them have a part to play in this book. I can’t wait for the next book.

August

Quicksilver by Callie Hart

I loved Quicksilver by Callie Hart for its thrilling mix of action, suspense, and steamy romance that kept me on the edge of my seat. The dynamic chemistry between the main characters was intense and addictive, adding an emotional depth to the plot. The fast-paced narrative and unexpected twists made it a captivating and unforgettable read.

Blood & Steel by Helen Scheuerer

I loved Blood & Steel by Helen Scheuerer for its epic world-building and the intricate, high-stakes political drama that kept me hooked. FMC wants to become a knight and I am loving that plot. The intense action and emotional stakes had me fully immersed.

September

Fire in the Sky by Sophie Jordan

Read Fire in the Sky if you need a easier read but certainly something different in the fantasy romance world.

⚔️Arranged Marriage
⚔️Dragons

I flew through this and had a good time with this one. Was this perfect, nah. But I loved this just because it was different and wasn’t the typical cookie cutter fantasy romances out there lately.

October

A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir

A Torch Against the Night to new heights, delivering an action packed, emotionally intense sequel that left me breathless. Picking up right where An Ember in the Ashes ended, this story pulls readers back into the gritty, unforgiving Martial Empire. Laia and Elias are fugitives on the run, facing relentless danger and heartbreak on every page, as they journey toward Kauf Prison in a race against time to rescue Laia’s brother.

A Torch Against the Night is everything a sequel should be: darker, bolder, and unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone ready for a story that challenges you, grips you, and lingers long after the last page.

November

The Road of Bones by Demi Winters

THIS👏WAS👏AMAZING👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

This was so unexpectedly good that I IMMEDIATELY need the next book in the series. But it won’t be published until next year. 😭

The Road of Bones is a Viking inspired fantasy romance that would surely keep you reading to the very end.

December

Queen of Shadows by Sarah J Maas

Queen of Shadows is the fourth book of the Throne of Glass series. Little slow in the beginning but of course got better when Rowan came to the scene.
